German Football Federation condemns racist insults against Moukoko and Ngankam

The German Football Federation (DFB) condemned the racist insults on social media against black football players Youssoufa Moukoko and Jessic Ngankam of the Germany Under-21 National Team.

In the statement made by DFB, sharing the information that legal action will be taken against those who make racist insults against national football players under the age of 21, “We would like to say to those who wrote discriminatory, insulting and inhuman comments towards some players after the match played by the under-21 team; we are disgusted by you. You “You are not fans, we don’t need you, we don’t want you. We will take legal action against your comments. Make sure of that. You will never win. Because we are more. We are open, diverse, colorful and extremely proud of that.” expressions were used.

Moukoko and Ngankam were subjected to racist insults on social media after they failed to score a penalty shootout in the European Under-21 Championship match, where they played against Israel in Kutaisi, Georgia and drew 1-1.

Moukoko, born in Cameroon, reacted to this situation after the match, saying, “If we win, we are all Germans. If we lose, ‘monkey’ comments come. It came to Jessic, it came to me. Such things have no place in football.”
