Gas stations in Kazakhstan have begun reopening, the republic’s energy ministry said. Department message is given in the Telegram channel Orda.kz.

It is noted that the country’s oil refineries are operating normally, the supply of fuels and lubricants and liquefied gas is “stabilized.”

Earlier, the authorities set price caps for motor fuel for 180 days. It was its rise in price by half since the beginning of the year that led to protests in the Mangistau region, which subsequently escalated into riots in large cities.
