Garcia Pimienta has a new project. After finishing his stage as coach of the Barça subsidiary this past summer, he will now take charge of UD Las Palmas.
Pimi was announced last Monday and this Tuesday, he dedicated a heartfelt message to the club and its new fans through his personal Twitter account.
Delighted and eager to start a successful stage on the Island, he wrote: “Grateful to UD Las Palmas for the commitment, impressed with the team at the club and eager to meet the fans“, followed by two hearts in the club’s colours, yellow and blue.
Currently, the Canarian team occupies the eighth position of LaLiga Smartbank, just three points from the Playoff positions, which marks Girona.
Garcia Pimienta arrives in Las Palmas with the clear objective of returning the team to the first division. It will not be easy for him, since it is a very demanding competition, but in his ranks he has players of the caliber of the former Real Madrid and PSG footballer, Jesé, the team’s current top scorer with 7 goals, and Jonathan Viera, a great player, among others.
