Fugitive Polish soldier says border guards killed up to 700 migrants

Polish soldier Emil Chechko, who fled to Belarus during the migration crisis, claimed to have killed up to 700 migrants while he was involved in the executions. His press conference passed on the channel of the Systemic Human Rights Center on YouTube.

According to Chechko, every day from June 9 to 18, 2021, he killed about 20 people daily on the orders of the Polish border guards. On June 9, together with a colleague, he shot two groups of migrants.

“Within 10 days of my participation in executions, from 200 to 700 people could have been killed,” Chechko said. He added that the border guards dumped the corpses into special pits with a capacity of up to 72 people each. Earlier, Chechko said that the Polish border guards killed more than 240 people.

The Polish soldier explained that after the shootings, the authorities bought them six to eight cans of beer every day. “I shot groups of migrants up to 20 people. And then they bought us beer,” he said.
