Mfun, nature and a walk through the hills of the Langhe. Next July 17, 2026 at 6 pm, Ludovico Einaudi will return to play Doglianithe town (in the province of Cuneo) of its roots, with a special event that will be much more than a simple concert. The appointment, entitled “Solo Piano”will be held on the hill of Nocello villagein the province of Cuneo, and will also have one charitable purpose: the entire proceeds will in fact be used for the restoration of the “L. Einaudi” Civic Librarydonated in 1963 by Giulio Einaudi to the Municipality of Dogliani in memory of his father Luigi.
But there is a detail that makes the event even more special. To reach the concert venue the audience will have to walk about three kilometers on foot. An experience that combines two activities that science has long recognized as valuable for well-being: walk And listen to music.
Einaudi’s dream: playing immersed in the beauty of the Langhe
The idea has accompanied the composer for years. «For a few years I had been cultivating a dream: to play in Dogliani for the people of Dogliani in a meadow where the view embraced the beauty of the Langhe framed by the mountain chain, a context in which music and nature could be lived as a single experience», said Einaudi.
A first attempt had been organized in 2023, but rain forced the event to be abandoned. Three years later, the project finally takes shape again. “Three years have passed and on July 17th we’ll try again, hoping that time is with us,” added the musician.
Because walking is good for the brain
In an age where we spend much of the day sitting, a walk can represent much more than just physical activity. Walking at a regular pace helps improve blood circulation, contributes to stress control and promotes the production of endorphins, substances involved in the feeling of well-being.
When the movement takes place in a natural context, such as that of the Langhe hills, the benefits can be even more evident. A systematic review published in 2024 in the journal Current Psychology (Marselle MR et al. Effectiveness of nature-based walking interventions in improving mental health in adults: a systematic review. Current Psychology, 2024) highlighted that the walks in nature can improve psychological well-being, increase the sense of optimism and contribute to reduce stress, anxiety and mental rumination. The authors also observed that the positive effects tend to be greater than for walks carried out in urban environments.
Also a study published in 2024 on Scientific Reports (The influence of a walk in nature on human resting brain activity. Scientific Reports, 2024) confirmed that contact with natural environments is associated with cognitive and psychological benefitsincluding a mood improvementof theAttention and of ability to recover from stress.
It is therefore not surprising that more and more experts are suggesting integrating moments of outdoor movement into your daily routine. And perhaps this is also why the idea imagined by Ludovico Einaudi – reaching a concert through a walk immersed in the Langhe landscape – seems go beyond the simple musical event, transforming into a wellness experience all round.
Music and its effect on emotions
Music also has important effects on our psychological balance. Listening to music can contribute to reduce stress, promote relaxation and improve mood. Some research also suggests that music simultaneously activates several brain areas involved in emotions, memory and attention.
In the case of Ludovico Einaudi, the relationship with the landscape has always been an integral part of his musical poetics. Many of his compositions are in fact born from the observation of nature and the search for a profound connection with the natural elements.
When music and movement meet
The Dogliani event therefore offers something unusual: not just a concert, but a journey. There walk becomes part of the listening experience. The path prepares you for an encounter with music, while the landscape helps to create a slower and more immersive listening dimension.
It is a formula that seems to perfectly interpret an increasingly widespread need: slow down, get away from the frenzy for a few hours daily and find contact again more authentic with one’s time.
A concert that supports culture
Alongside the dimension of well-being there is also that of solidarity. THEThe entire proceeds of the evening will be donated to the restoration of “L. Einaudi” Civic Librarya symbolic place for the community of Dogliani and for the history of the Einaudi family. The concert thus takes on a further meaning: celebrating the bond with the territory and contributing to the protection of a cultural heritage that belongs to the community.

Here’s how to participate
The concert will take place outdoors on the hill of Nocello village. The organizers recommend bringing:
- comfortable shoes;
- hat;
- sunscreen;
- a plaid to sit on the lawn.
The Municipality of Dogliani it will also provide a shuttle service from the main car parks to the starting point of the walk.
Tickets are available on the circuits TicketOne And Ticketmaster.
For one evening, therefore, there music will not only be listened to: it will be reached by walking. And perhaps this is precisely the deepest meaning of the initiative imagined by Ludovico Einaudi: transform a concert into an experience capable of involving body, mind, landscape and community together.
