Even as a little girl, Van de Wetering was fond of dolls. She visited many doll fairs, liked to draw children’s and doll faces and making dolls was actually no more than a logical step. With success: in 2002 she won the Dolls Ring, a prestigious prize for doll makers. In recent years, she has devoted herself entirely to making dolls with realistic features, unlike the ones from a toy store. It is that at 10 to 25 centimeters they are a size smaller than real babies, otherwise you would not be able to tell them from the real thing.
