French union threatens to cut power during major events | Abroad

According to the French newspaper ‘Le Parisien’, the union speaks of “one hundred days of actions and anger” and wants Macron to reverse his law.

The reforms have led to protests in France for months, especially since the government pushed the plans through outside parliament. Trade unions strike regularly and there have already been more than ten days of nationwide action.

CGT Énergie says May 3 will be held “a national day of anger” in the energy sector. The union talks about further “energy disruptions”, but does not say what exactly that will entail.
