Freestyle skier Ruud gives Norway fourth gold at the Games

Birk Ruud helped Norway to its fourth gold medal at the Olympics. The 21-year-old freestyle skier won the big air event in Beijing.

Ruud came to a score of 187.75 points. The silver went to the American Colby Stevenson (183.00). Henrik Harlaut from Sweden was third with 181.00 points.

Norway takes the lead in the medal standings from Sweden thanks to Ruud’s win. The Norwegians have four gold, one silver and four bronze medals. Sweden has four golds, one silver and two bronze. The Netherlands (three gold, three silver, one bronze) is now third.

The United States is still waiting for the first gold in Beijing.
