With the start of the 2022 autumn/winter season, Mustang is launching a new brand design and product branding.
With its heritage as the first European denim brand and authentic brand values, Mustang, together with the Strichpunkt agency, has given its logo, trademark, colors, product labeling and visual identity an innovative makeover.
The new brand identity is a fundamental component of the brand strategy with the aim of sharpening the brand image and increasing brand desirability. This should support further growth, especially in the international markets.
The new brand image is clear, uniform and contemporary. In the future, it will take place at all touchpoints – from the product to communication, store design and the online shop.
The new logo ties in seamlessly with the history of the denim manufacturer: it embodies the freedom spirit of the Mustang. To emphasize this aspect even more, the “constricting” box around the logo has been removed. Now it can breathe freely and stands on its own.
The Mustang horse trademark has been updated and updated more closely to the natural lines of a real Mustang. As a homage to the jeans seam, a dashed line serves as a recurring element of the brand design.
Mustang remains true to itself and its Mustang Red, but the color has been made fresher and more dynamic by a few nuances. A dark red and a dark denim blue complete the Mustang color range.
The product labeling has also been revised and adapted to the new brand design. In the future, sustainability topics will be communicated in the product on additional hangtags under the motto True Change.
The new Mustang imagery shows authentic situations and people in their individual moments of freedom: true moments. Whether alone or with friends, full of exuberant emotions or at peace with yourself, in the busy city or surrounded by untouched nature – True Moments of Freedom can be experienced by anyone, anytime and anywhere…because true freedom starts in the heart!
