The North Atlantic cyclone “Quintinus” will bring snowfalls and blizzards to Moscow, as well as sudden pressure surges – a “baric saw”, reported on Instagram leading specialist of the Phobos center Evgeniy Tishkovets.
According to him, snowfall in Moscow will begin at midnight and continue until 15: 00-17: 00 Saturday, December 25.
“At least 5-7 mm of precipitation will fall on the city, which is 10% of the monthly norm,” Tishkovets said.
The snowdrifts will grow from 22 to 27 cm, which is 10 cm higher than the norm. At the same time, it will be quite windy, due to which snowstorms with drifts and deterioration of visibility on roads up to 1.5-2 km are predicted, the forecaster warned.
