Flemish government invests 11 million in special education student transport

The Flemish government is investing 11 million euros extra for this school year in student transport in special education. With these funds, the government wants to deploy extra buses, minibuses, taxi services and bus escorts in order to do something about the problem of long bus rides in special education. This was announced today by the Minister of Mobility, Lydia Peeters. At the end of January, the Open Vld minister wants to come up with a “complete plan of action” to tackle the problem structurally.
