The extraordinary find can now be admired in the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels. (read more below the photo)

The tooth of more than two meters comes from a forest elephant. The species disappeared from our regions before the mammoth. The tusk is very well preserved. The adult male to whom the tooth belonged must have been three and a half meters high. Forest elephants have straight tusks.
