Most recently, Kristina Isaev missed the qualification for the World Cup. Now she ends her career.

The two -time German champion in figure skating Kristina Isaev withdraws from competitive sports. In a message from the German Eislauf-Union, the 24-year-old explained the end of her career-health problems had caused you to take this step.

Isaev reported that she had suffered from back and hip complaints for a long time. “I tried to ignore it for a long time and do my best, but it got worse,” she said.

In 2024 and 2025, Isaev secured the national title. “I did what I have achieved through a lot of diligence and hard work. My body no longer withstands these stress as it used to be,” she reported.

She ran her last competition program at the European Championship in Tallinn at the end of January. There she finished 15th-too little for the qualification for the World Cup and thus also for a possible Olympic starting area. In the future, Isaev wants to devote itself more to coaching work.
