Groenewegen already won the first stage in the Tour of Slovenia on Wednesday. He also won a ride in the Tour of Hungary last month. That was his first victory in 2025. The Tour of Slovenia lasts until Sunday.
“I knew this arrival. The stage was quite difficult, went up and down and there was wind, but we took control in the final phase and deserved the victory,” said Groenewegen, who took his seventh stage victory in the Tour of Slovenia. “It was a nice fight with Molano and I am happy that I could win again.”
