FC Bayern: Hoeneß is looking for a conversation with Tuchel – is Hellmann coming for Kahn?

TM Community Discussed: “Intention”

Honorary President Uli Hoeneß made a surprising appearance on the Munich club grounds in the middle of the FC Bayern crisis. Immediately before the record champions’ training session on Wednesday, the 71-year-old had a lively chat with coach Thomas Tuchel. The former Bayern president, whose opinion is still very important on the Isar, and Julian Nagelsmann’s successor stood on the pitch for around 15 minutes. Hoeneß observes the sporting development at Bayern with concern.

When the Munich team started training around 11 a.m., Hoeneß had disappeared again. It’s not just the players who are being watched closely for Sunday’s mandatory task against Hertha BSC. In the current situation of the record champions, the management team has come into focus. In particular, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn have come under heavy criticism in view of the sporting misery with the end of the DFB Cup and the Champions League and the loss of the championship lead in the Bundesliga.

TM community discusses surprising Hoeneß visit to FC Bayern

The surprising appearance of the Honorary President is also hotly debated in the TM community among Bayern fans. “One may think what one likes about Uli Hoeneß, but he is certainly very aware of the external impact of the pictures of him on the training ground. Otherwise he could have had the conversation with Tuchel in private in one of the numerous offices. As I said, that’s pure intention,” says the user “smochen”. “I’m not so sure whether I would interpret that as a deliberate dig at Brazzo/Kahn. However, it is also clear that it is impossible to continue like this. Personally, I’m very happy that at least one of the ‘management levels’ is standing by and that out of this distanced ‘laissez-faire’, ‘mia san mia’ is apparently moving to the fore again.”

User “Nightflash” takes the same line: “Honestly, the trainer hasn’t shown anything at all that should calm Uli Hoeneß. If the coach doesn’t manage to recognize the seriousness of the situation and bring in fire and emotion, then someone else obviously has to get him hot first. By today at the latest, Tuchel should have realized how thin the ice he is standing on already is. If, with Kahn and Brazzo, his two rescue parachutes are really gone after the season, then he should make sure that the team gives 200 percent on the pitch in the last five games of the season, otherwise he will be at the latest in the first crisis of the next season away immediately. Hoeneß will not accept such bloodless performances as the team under Tuchel has shown so far for long.

TM user “Becks84”, on the other hand, was “torn” by the Hoeneß visit. “On the one hand, someone has to take decisive action and maybe it doesn’t do any harm if a strong man appears here for everyone to see. On the other hand, he is not the one who discusses training content and line-ups with the trainer – we’ve been through that for a long time.” User “alexxxx” reassures: “I think you can rule out Uli Hoeneß interfering in training, content, etc . For my part, on the one hand I also feel the fear of a revival of the Hoeneß nineties, but I also have to admit that Brazzo and Kahn are simply to blame for Uli Hoeneß regaining more influence. It hasn’t been as restless as it has been in the past two years in a decade.”

I’m torn.
On the one hand, someone has to take decisive action and maybe it doesn’t do any harm if a strong man appears here for everyone to see.
On the other hand, he’s not the one who discusses training content and line-ups with the coach – we’ve been through that for a long time.
And somewhere I read he should prefer Muani as a striker because he is the better candidate to Kane/Oshimen. I actually dread Hoeneß’s “best of the B…

For “alexxxx” it is therefore also clear: “Something has to happen now, I can’t imagine that this will go hand in hand without personal consequences after the season. Too much china was broken for that. I suspect that Kahn will be cleared and Brazzo will be given a reprieve. “User “BestiaNegra86” asked mockingly, looking at Hoeneß: “If he can’t let go and can’t stay out of it, why doesn’t he just take over his old post again?”

The regular supervisory board meeting of the Munich company on May 22nd is therefore eagerly awaited. Salihamidzic should benefit from the fact that Hoeneß has been one of his advocates for years. But the Bosnian is also in the light of public criticism because of his personnel policy. As CEO, however, Kahn is primarily responsible. Despite a decision that has not yet been made, possible successors are already being discussed in the media – and rejected again. Christian Seifert, former managing director of the German Football League, stands after “sports1‘ Information about not available.

Axel Hellmann candidate for Kahn’s successor at Bayern Munich

There is also said to be interest in Seifert’s interim DFL successor, Axel Hellmann. According to information from “Ran” and “sky“There were initial talks between the German record champions and the spokesman for the board of Eintracht Frankfurt. According to “dpa” information, however, there should have been no concrete exchange about the Kahn successor.

Hellmann’s contract with Eintracht runs until 2027, but after a dispute at management level there is a risk of an early departure. So far, however, there has been more of a permanent change from the lawyer to the DFL. Either way: According to “Ran”, Kahn has to fear that he will not be able to convince the Bavarian Supervisory Board of his continued employment until its meeting on May 22nd.
