Dutch singer Pierre Kartner has died. He was 87 years old. Kartner, also known as Vader Abraham, had lived a completely reclusive life for the past two years.
Kartner became known to German audiences primarily through his “Smurf Song” (1977).
He stopped performing and stopped appearing in public. As the family announced, Kartner died in Breda on Tuesday (November 8th). The family did not provide any information about the cause of death.
