Coaching station in the UAE
For coach Thorsten Fink, the time at Al-Nasr SC in the United Arab Emirates is over after six months. As the club announced, both sides have “mutually” agreed on a contract termination. Fink joined the club in mid-May and was on the sidelines in eleven games in which he averaged 0.91 points.
With his move to Al-Nasr, the 55-year-old set a record for his previous employer FC Riga in Latvia. In the course of the change, the club in the capital announced that it was taking an unspecified transfer fee, which was a record in Latvian football. Fink started his ninth spell as head coach in the UAE and seventh abroad. While it is unclear how things will continue for him, Al-Nasr immediately presented a successor in Croatian Goran Tomic.
