It was big in the show news about five years ago: Donny Roelvink and Fajah Lourens announced a cooperation On. The two of them were going to write a booklet in which they would give men tips for living a healthy life and exercising properly. A bit like what Fajah herself does with women, but through Donny she was also able to reach the man.

Looking up to Donny

Donny told the camera about this Show news that he feels a lot of kinship with Fajah. “Fajah and I have a bit of the same thing. She started as an actress, I started as a TV personality, but at a certain point fitness became very much our own. That was also the case with Fajah.”

Fajah was also in a Donny music video. “And then she came to me and said, ‘I saw that documentary of yours, but wouldn’t you like to tell how you do it in a book?’ I motivate a lot of young boys, because they look up to me. Young boys are often shy in the fact that they want it, but do not dare to ask.”

Write a book

But eh, since when does Donny have a talent for writing? Well, he hasn’t, he casually admitted to the camera. “I will try to do as much as possible myself, but I think that nine out of ten books are not written by the person themselves. Let’s be very honest.”

Well, that will be a nice book: don’t do anything about it, just put your head on it and you’re done. “I don’t know exactly how it all works, but I think Fajah will explain it to me.”

Fajah is sorry

Now, five years later, Fajah regrets asking that boy in the first place, Wilfred Genee reveals in the radio show The Friday Move. “You once wanted to make a book like this with someone else about six-packs and health.”

Fajah laughing: “You are so bad!”

Wilfred: “What do you mean?”

Fajah: “I’m never going to tell you anything before the break again!”

‘Didn’t happen’

Ah, so Fajah was gossiping with Wilfred about Donny before the broadcast. “Isn’t that what Arie (Boomsma, ed.) would have been ideal for?” says Wilfred.

Fajah: “Yes, I should have made a book about him, yes. But yeah.”

Wilfred: “Didn’t happen.”

Fajah: “No, it didn’t happen. I chose someone else.”

Wilfred: “Donny Roelvink.”

Learning moment

Fajah then starts laughing. “Hahahahaha. Those were all great learning moments. Sometimes you also have to be able to realize that you make mistakes in life. And that was one of them.”

Wilfred: “Donny Roelvink was a mistake?”

Fajah: “That book, yes.”

Wilfred: “That book! Oh okay. For clarity. Before all the stories come again, of course!”
