In the Oost-Vlaamse Wetteren, previously Rode Duivel Gunther Schepens had four cars and there was a positive test carried out. That confirms the Oost-Vlaamse Parket. Schepens, momenteel aan de slag as technical coördinator bij de jeugd van AA Gent, kreeg in december nog drie maanden rijverbod na rijden onder invloed. Zijn rijbewijs was not yet ingetrokken at the moment van het ongeval.
