Eva Jinek hands a sensitive slap to Linda de Mol: ‘Disappointing’

Eva Jinek strongly criticizes the new drama series Five Live by television colleague Linda de Mol. The presenter had high expectations of this production, but they were not fulfilled at all.

The new Linda de Mol series Five Live, which takes place in the television world, makes people laugh. Especially the scene in which Linda has a fictional version of Angela de Jong crash causes controversy. Many people find it distasteful that the fallen TV queen is trying to get her revenge in this way.

studio lamp

Angela sat at Eva’s talk show table yesterday and of course it was about the studio lamps. In Linda’s series, a pretty heavy copy fell on Angela’s head, until it bled. “I’m going to look up now. You remind me again,” joked the opinion diva of the AD.

Eva reassuringly: “I’ve already inspected it for you, but it’s such a big thing that if it falls, we’ll all just die.”

Angela: “Yes, I’ve seen it. I was somewhat surprised as I was not expecting it, but otherwise it is what it is. (…) It’s fiction, guys. What should I think? I sometimes visit De TV Kantine. I am fine with it.”

Eve lashes out

What does Eva actually think of Five Live? Linda plays a talk show host in the series, but Eva is of course one. “Gee, what did I think? I have to think for a moment. I have the same as you: I find the television profession an exciting place to make a series. It lends itself to it: huge egos, weird people with really weird hobbies, all that sort of thing.”

She continues: “It is a very rewarding subject and because it is also close to me because I work there, I was looking at it with high expectations. Then I don’t think it lived up to expectations of what you could do with the material out there in the TV world. There are so many crazy people out there.”

Very boring

Oops, that sneer from Eva is of course quite painful for Linda. Then Angela again: “I got a text from a talk show editor and he said, ‘I thought it was really boring, while the reality is so much more hilarious than what I’ve seen in that series.’”

Eva: “Actually, you just have to make it reality. You put a camera on it and a few figures walk around… I don’t want to protect myself, but there are really a lot of crazy Henkies. I think they are much more normal on radio.”
