The EU Deforestation Free Products Regulation (EUDR) has been postponed again for another twelve months. The regulation has been substantively amended and will enter into force at the end of December 2026.
This means that companies have one year longer to properly prepare for supplying deforestation-free products. The central government will use the coming year to help the business community with this.

Balance
The EUDR requires administration from companies. To ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, the Ministry of LVVN, the NVWA and Customs will once again use this year to further clarify the cooperation with companies surrounding the EUDR.
The central government strives for a balance between tax relief and nature objectives. In the coming year, the Netherlands will commit itself to actual tax reductions in the European Union.
In addition, the government will take the initiative in communicating with the interest groups of the various sectors, so that companies can properly prepare to meet all requirements in the future.
