Eintracht Braunschweig has separated from coach Michael Schiele. This was officially announced by the second division club on Friday. The 45-year-old, who took office at BTSV in June 2021 and celebrated promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with the team a year later, was originally under contract until 2025. He only extended this last January. In 75 games under Schiele, Eintracht Braunschweig scored an average of 1.41 points, but they only stayed up on the last day of the game.
“We are extremely grateful to Michael for the work he has done over the past two years. With him, we managed to get promoted directly again in the first season and finally managed to stay up. On the decision-making side in the club, we took an extraordinary amount of time to intensively analyze what went on at the various sporting levels last season. We sorted the individual facts and came to the conclusion that further development through new impulses and changes is necessary. We wish Michael all the best for his career,” said sporting director Peter Vollmann.
