“Eggplant King” continues at Darts World Cup

“Eggplant King” Dirk van Duijvenbode survived his first game at the Darts World Cup in London with great difficulty.

The Dutchman, placed in 17th position, who works on an eggplant farm every day, turned a 1: 2 deficit against Boris Kolzow and in the end prevailed 3: 2.

So he will face the Englishman Ross Smith in round three from December 27th. In the round of 16 a clash with defending champion Gerwyn Price from Wales would be possible.

Before that, English co-favorite Nathan Aspinall had survived his first match with great difficulty. “The Asp” won 3-2 against compatriot Joe Murnan. Germany’s number one Gabriel Clemens competes for the first time on Thursday (9 p.m. / Sport1 and DAZN). He plays against Lewy Williams from Welsh.
