Ulf Kirsten will continue to perform his advisory function at Dynamo Dresden. According to a “picture” report, the current contract of the clutor expires at the end of the month, i.e. next Friday. There is already agreement on a new contract, which, however, only applies until the end of the season.
According to this, the third division club, who is in second place after 25 game days, still has to wait and see whether you will play in the 2nd Bundesliga in the coming season. The additional income resulting from the promotion could be invested in a longer cooperation with Kirsten. If this is missed, it would still be unclear whether Kirsten could continue.
In order to stay with it at least until the end of the season, the ex-strikers (67 goals in 181 games) do without part of his salary. A poker was not necessary for this, instead Kirsten is said to have proposed the lower covers himself. He justified that the decision was announced so at short notice: “The priorities have been clearly in other areas in the past few weeks. I’m very relaxed there. “
Kirsten has been a consultant in various functions at Dynamo since March 2023, and at the end of last season even for two months as an assistant coach. From now on, his area of responsibility should be primarily in the area of sponsorship acquisition and, as before, should be in advice on sporting questions.
