Dylan Groenewegen closes strong opening week with second stage victory

Cyclist Dylan Groenewegen has booked his second stage win of the year this afternoon. The Amsterdammer was the fastest in the bunch sprint during the final stage of the Tour of Saudi Arabia.

Dan McClay lost to Groenewegen in the sprint. The 28-year-old sprinter won Thursday his first leg with his new team.

Due to the stage win, the North Hollander also took the victory in the points classification. In this he stayed one point ahead of competitor Caleb Ewan, who had a flat tire in the final phase today.
