As a result of a special operation to eliminate the leader of the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia), Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Kureishi, 13 people were killed, reports RIA News with reference to the Syrian military.
As it became known, there are children among the dead – this was recognized by the US authorities, who blamed the death of minors on terrorists.
In addition, the US military destroyed its own helicopter. This happened after the aircraft had technical problems. At that moment, it was considered impractical to move it anywhere, so the helicopter was hit.
How previously reported, on the eve of the US military conducted a raid in northwestern Syria, as a result of which a man who was considered one of the leaders of ISIS was eliminated. According to some reports, he died as a result of an explosion arranged by him.
It is noted that the American military personnel suffered no losses.
