Both Valenti and Páez await sentencing in San Luis, where they were severely beaten by other inmates, which is why they had to be isolated. The charges under which Valenti and Páez were found guilty already marked the path to life imprisonment due to the aggravating factors contemplated.

As confirmed in advance by judicial sources, the defendants will not witness the reading of the sentence, but will be informed of the ruling by the defense and a court clerk. During the reading of the verdict they were not present either. “They lived it like another day. They work in the unit. They are in the bakery and in the cotillion workshop. They have organized their days with these jobs,” said Silvina Blanco.
