Dream start at European Championship for indoor football players Orange by winning over Ukraine

In an empty Ziggo Dome, the Orange squad has won its first match at the European Indoor Football Championship. Ukraine was defeated 3-2 after an exciting game.

Within the minute the Orange was 1-0 behind. Zvarytsj shot in after a poor defense of the Netherlands. The start was quite tame, but gradually the Orange became stronger. This gave Attaibi Martinus and Bouyouzan chances. Ukraine also became dangerous through star player Shoturma. In the final phase of the first half, Mossaoui shot the post, but Max Tjaden’s team went into the dressing room with a 1-0 deficit.

Good out of the locker room

The Orange quickly turned the game around in the second half. The Netherlands took the deserved lead via hits from Saadouni and Attaibi. Bouzambou seemed to decide the match with a beautiful shot: 3-1.

In the final phase, Ukraine encouraged by using a field player as a goalkeeper. With less than three minutes to play, Shoturma scored the connecting goal. In the exciting final phase, the teams no longer scored and so the Orange won the game 3-2

Earlier in the day, European and world champions Portugal beat Serbia 4-2 in group A.
