TVLove once again reigns supreme in the VTM program ‘Cupido Ofzo’. Soetkin and Bert went on a date together and that clearly clicked. Only Bert has difficulty expressing his feelings: “I hope I will be able to have a relationship, but I am a bit afraid of it”, it sounded honest. We also met Gregory, who lost his sight and part of his memory in a major accident.
It clearly clicks between Soetkin and Bert. Soetkin immediately conveys her feelings for Bert. But he has a harder time with that. Soetkin wants to know how he sees his future. “I don’t really know,” Bert answered honestly. “You can’t determine your future, you have to take it as it comes. You have a little hand in it, but not much.” Convinced ‘yes’ to Soetkin is therefore not yet possible for him. “How the hell can you feel like you’re a couple?” he wonders. Although Soetkin keeps it up: “Maybe he doesn’t realize that we have a relationship yet.” And so Bert takes a wait-and-see attitude: “I hope that I will be able to have a relationship, but I’m a bit afraid of it because I can’t express my feelings. I have no idea how to start to do that better.”
Gregory had a serious accident on the way home. He then lost his sight and part of his memory. “I came back from my student job. On the drive home I hit a tree. I don’t remember anything about it myself.” But since his accident, he has become more open with people he doesn’t know. “I will approach people more easily if they are looking for something or have a problem,” it sounds, for example.
Gregory pushes Sarah around in her wheelchair like a real gentleman. The pleasant date clearly suits them both. “Yes, he is very pleasant”, says Sarah. “I also like that he spontaneously starts pushing.” And that was done with pleasure: “I have also been in a wheelchair myself, so that is not really something earth-shattering for me”, Gregory shrugs.
It clicks clearly. “He’s a calm person, it doesn’t make me nervous. I don’t think you can easily get him angry either. Maybe I should push him into the pond, then we’ll find out immediately”, Sarah laughs. And Gregory is also satisfied. “I didn’t feel like I was traveling with anyone in a wheelchair. Being there with her, chatting and looking at things weighed harder for me than pushing her. In the end, that was just a detail.”
