Denise Hermann-Wick shoots up the relay podium for the DSV

The German women’s relay missed the podium at the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen.

The quartet of the German Ski Association (DSV) with Anna Weidel, Franziska Preuss, Denise Herrmann-Wick and Vanessa Voigt took fourth place in the race over 4×6 km. Closer Herrmann-Wick lost one of the top three places with four spares. At the start of the World Cup in Kontiolahti, the DSV team was still in second place.

Victory went to France (0 penalties+4 spare rounds), who were 10.4 seconds ahead of Sweden (0+9) and Italy (0+4/+18.5). Germany was 33.7 seconds behind.

The third World Cup will take place in Annecy-Le Grand Bornand, France, from Thursday to Sunday. The program includes sprints, pursuits and, for the first time this winter, a mass start race.
