The ERC Ingolstadt showed a demonstration of strength to start the semi-final series of the DEL play-offs. The main round of the Cologne Haie clearly defeated the main round.

The ERC Ingolstadt was able to build on the 6-0 in the last quarter-final game against the Nuremberg Ice Tigers and also achieved a canteen victory at the start of the semi-final series of the DEL Play-offs. The Panther defeated the Cologne Haie 7-0 and thus take the lead 1-0 in the best-of-Seven series.

Ingolstadt decides early again

As against Nuremberg, the hosts started like the fire brigade and decided the game in the first third. After four minutes, Wayne-Simpson scored the lead for the Schanzer. Seconds later, Daniel Schmölz placed 2-0 (5th). With the 3-0 by Daniel Pieta ten minutes later, the game took on a clear direction (15th). Shortly before the final third of the first third, national player Wojicech Stachowiak even scored 4-0 (19th).
