Since 2018, Pavel Gross and his assistant coach Mike Pellegrims have been responsible for the Adler Mannheim. After winning the title in the first year and second place in the table in the aborted 2019/2020 season, the Adler failed in the semi-finals last season against the Grizzlies Wolfsburg. Mannheim are currently in fifth place in the table.
Club boss Hopp: “The trend is going in the wrong direction”
“We’re at a point in the season where the playoffs are just around the corner and the team should be on their way to playing their best hockey. Unfortunately, the trend has gone in the wrong direction, so we’ve come to the conclusion that the team in final spurt and in the finals a new impetus, a breath of fresh air is needed”, club boss Daniel Hopp justified the dismissal
