Only a month after a cyber attack on the army, the external mail traffic was reactivated. A leak was discovered worldwide in December in Apache’s widely used software Log4j, which paralyzed part of the activities at the ministry. But the recovery is now much more difficult than expected. Until this week, looking up something on the internet was impossible for military personnel. “We want to create a Cyber Component as the fifth pillar of Defence”, says the cabinet of Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder (PS).
