The Ministry of Defense confirmed that all crew members of the Mi-8 helicopter were injured as a result of an emergency landing in the Ulyanovsk region.
As it became known, one of the pilots died from his injuries – he died during transportation to the hospital.
The department reported that the incident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, January 28, during a scheduled flight. According to preliminary data, a technical malfunction could become the cause of the incident.
Note that the aircraft made a hard landing on the ice in the waters of the Volga near the sanatorium “Dubki” near Ulyanovsk.
According to TASS, The Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case into the incident.
