A motorist was killed on the A4 near Bergen op Zoom on Monday night. The driver is said to have left the road with the car and collided with a tree next to the road.
“Due to the impact, debris from the car, including the engine block, ended up on the parallel road,” says a 112 correspondent.
No other traffic involved
The crash took place on the road between Hoogerheide and Bergen op Zoom, in the direction of Roosendaal. Police say no other traffic was involved in the accident.
Due to the accident, the A4 between Hoogerheide and Bergen op Zoom-Zuid was closed to traffic for a while. How the crash could have happened is under investigation. The road was reopened to traffic Tuesday morning.
