The professional cyclists’ tour of Germany starts this year in Schweinfurt with a prologue.
The prologue on August 21st and the first stage on August 22nd begin in the northern Bavarian city, as the organizers announced. The race, which takes place via Schwäbisch Gmünd and Villingen-Schwenningen in Baden-Württemberg, among other places, ends on August 25th in Saarbrücken.
Last year the German tour began in Saarland and continued to its destination in Bremen. The Belgian Ilan van Wilder (23) took the overall victory.
