The coronavirus does not overload hospitals, but the outpatient link, the load on it is huge, said Head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko at the presidium of the coordinating council to combat coronavirus.
In Russia, the number of hospitalizations with coronavirus is growing, 147 thousand people are in hospitals. For the last week indicator increased by 23%Murashko noted.
At the same time, only 8% of those infected get to hospitals, which is less than in the fourth (autumn) wave of coronavirus.
This is a favorable factor, since the situation with the coronavirus does not overload the fixed link. But this is a huge burden on the outpatient stage of care, the minister concluded.
