Former soccer world champion Bastian Schweinsteiger remains a TV expert on ARD. As the public television broadcaster announced, the 41-year-old former FC Bayern Munich professional has extended his contract until 2028.
This year, the former captain of the German national team will also be part of the ARD team at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
“He has been enriching the football broadcasts on ARD since 2020 with his experience, which is reflected in his analyzes and assessments,” said the ARD.
In action at the World Cup
The World Cup takes place from June 11th to July 19th. ARD and ZDF report on 60 of the 104 games, including all German games, the semi-finals and the final. The German team of national coach Julian Nagelsmann starts the tournament on June 14th against World Cup newcomers Curaçao.
