British World Cup reporter Betty Glover cut off a recording this weekend after a couple behind her started kissing heavily. Both she and the cameraman couldn’t contain their laughter. It is already the third incident in a few days on British TV.
Glover reports on the World Cup from America. You may know her from the BBC, but this time she is active for the well-known sports platform Men in blazers. She was just about to start recording the daily morning show, when directly behind her on the street a man started kissing his girlfriend hard.
The presenter looked on with wide eyes and made a funny face, but started her story anyway. After just over ten seconds she burst out laughing and had to give up.
That was partly due to the cameraman, she writes on Instagram. ‘Don’t mind me, guys. I’m just trying to present while a couple behind me starts playing. The man behind the camera couldn’t stop laughing and in the end I couldn’t keep it up either.’
A new attempt was successful, because Glover still opened the show in the same place, including a kissing set. The blooper did not make it to the broadcast, as happened twice at the BBC in recent days.

‘Fuck everyone’
In the neat news programs of the public broadcaster, swear words are not allowed. But it is difficult to intervene in live broadcasts, as was evident with an item about the deceased artist David Hockney. Scarlett Clark, the granddaughter of one of his muses, was asked what advice he had given her as an artist.
“Enjoy it, paint what you like and fuck everyone,” she said. The BBC does not tolerate that word, so the presenter turned to the viewers. “Apologies if you were offended by the language.” Clark herself writes on Instagram that she was devastated, but is happy that viewers actually laugh.

On the same day, a football fan was asked for his opinion on the World Cup when he opened up on live TV about FIFA and its boss, Gianni Infantino. Both parties are a stingy bunch fuckshe said. The reporter also immediately apologized.
