Jürgen Locadia from Emmen was allowed to start in the starting line-up by his coach Dick Advocaat in Curaçao’s first match against Germany. The striker played 65 minutes in the lost match against Germany: 7-1.
In the sixth minute, the Germans struck for the first time through Felix Nmecha, but Curaçao did not hang its head and had an appropriate response in the 21st minute.
After preparatory work from Locadia, Livano Comenencia scored: 1-1. The islanders seemed to reach halftime with an equal score until Nico Schlotterbeck headed the Germans back into the lead from a corner kick in the 38th minute: 2-1.
At the end of the first half, Die Mannschaft also received a penalty, after Riechedly Bazoer knocked down Nmecha. Kai Havertz gratefully took advantage of this opportunity and signed for the 3-1 halftime score.
Immediately after the break the Germans scored again. The talent Jamal Musiala outwitted Curaçao goalkeeper Eloy Room with a low slider. Halfway through the second half, the game was over for Locadia. The former Bargeres player was replaced by Jearl Margaritha.
After Locadia’s substitution, Nathaniel Brown, Deniz Undav and again Kai Havertz poured some extra salt into Curaçao’s wounds: 7-1
Curaçao still plays against Ecuador and Ivory Coast.
