Commerzbank portfolio: These US stocks were among the top 10 in the third quarter of 2025

11th place: The ranking

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires institutional investors to disclose their equity holdings quarterly if their total value exceeds $100 million. Commerzbank has disclosed its US investments for the past quarter in accordance with these SEC regulations. The entire portfolio was worth around $4.81 billion in the third quarter of 2025 – slightly more than in the previous quarter. The following ranking lists the top 10 largest US positions that were in the bank’s portfolio as of September 30th. The investments are sorted according to their percentage share of the entire portfolio.

10th place: Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola slipped from eighth to tenth place – even though Commerzbank bought 164,817 shares. At the end of the quarter, the bank held 2,073,774 securities worth around $137.53 million. This resulted in a portfolio share of 2.86 percent.

9th place: IBM

The IT company IBM also fell two places in the last quarter. Here, Commerzbank purchased 32,431 additional shares, increasing its investment to 543,742 papers with a total value of around $153.42 million as of the reporting date. This means that the shareholding made up 3.19 percent of the entire portfolio, putting it in ninth place.

8th place: JPMorgan

The US bank JPMorgan also slipped two places. Commerzbank has reduced its shares in its industry colleague – 29,340 shares were sold. At the end of the quarter, the German bank held 493,400 securities worth around $155.63 million. This resulted in a portfolio share of 3.23 percent.

7th place: Johnson & Johnson

Commerzbank won its Johnson & Johnson investment in the third quarter. Participation went up two places in the ranking. 16,589 shares of the US pharmaceutical company were purchased. The now 856,749 papers were worth around 158.86 million US dollars as of the reporting date, which corresponded to a portfolio share of 3.30 percent – seventh place in the ranking.

6th place: NVIDIA

The tech giant NVIDIA landed in sixth place – and thus slipped down one place. Here, the German financial house sold 80,748 shares and still held a total of 896,576 shares of the US giant as of September 30th. With a total value of around $167.28 million, NVIDIA accounted for 3.47 percent of Commerzbank’s entire portfolio.

5th place: Visa

After Visa took last place in the ranking in the second quarter, Commerzbank’s participation now lands in fifth place. Here, Commerzbank purchased 161,415 securities in the third quarter and thus owned a total of 496,495 shares in the credit card company. As of the reporting date, the investment was worth around $169.49 million, corresponding to a share of 3.52 percent of the entire portfolio.

4th place: Broadcom

The US semiconductor company Broadcom once again took fourth place in the ranking with a total of 527,430 papers. A total of 112,536 shares were sold in the last quarter. The remaining block of shares was worth around $174 million as of the reporting date, making up 3.61 percent of Commerzbank’s entire portfolio.

3rd place: Apple

Apple was able to defend the bronze medal in the third quarter of 2025. Commerzbank intervened again in the iGroup and expanded its holdings by 41,706 shares to a total of 1,105,663 shares. With a total value of around 281.54 million US dollars, Apple’s securities made up 5.85 percent of the entire portfolio.

2nd place: Microsoft

Microsoft had to take first place. In the third quarter of 2025, Commerzbank sold 214,110 shares of the US giant and thus still held a total of 684,047 shares. As of September 30, the investment was worth around $354.3 million and corresponded to a portfolio share of 7.36 percent – second place in the ranking.

1st place: Alphabet A

The A shares of Google parent Alphabet were able to take first place in the third quarter of 2025. At the end of the quarter, the bank held 1,476,975 Alphabet shares – 215,305 fewer than in the previous quarter. In total, the investment was worth around $359.05 million as of the reporting date, making it a 7.46 percent share of the entire portfolio.
