Further investigation into the incident with the firebomb in Nieuwegein has shown that this incident is probably related to the discovery of approximately 3,500 kilos of cocaine in a container of bananas from Columbia by the police in Antwerp at the beginning of August.
The Belgian police seized the amount of cocaine, after which the importer delivered the bananas to the relevant company in Nieuwegein. Research has shown a very real scenario that the cocaine dealers thought that the cocaine was supplied to the company in Nieuwegein. However, this is a misconception as the confiscated batch of cocaine was destroyed by the Belgian authorities immediately after finding it.
