We interviewed Roxana Gabriela Ponzo, Ontological Coach. Professional Master Coach …

How did you discover your vocation for Coaching and what prompted you to dedicate yourself to this?
I discovered coaching in 1995, when a friend invited me to a leadership program. I didn’t know what it was although I trusted that this space was going to contribute something valuable to my life. I was a public accountant and I was looking for something else … something that would fill my heart.
And that’s how an inner trip began that transformed my life. In 2003 I certified as an ontological coach, and that same year I found my vocation: to assist others and finding a meaning to my life.

What kind of services do you offer and with what kind of people or processes do you usually work?
I am passionate about organizational coaching. I accompany executives, teams and organizations to improve the quality of their internal communication, understanding that companies are conversational networks. The quality of these conversations defines the quality of relationships and, as a consequence, the results they achieve.
My approach combines ontological coaching tools with practical interventions designed according to the needs of each team. I work with companies of different sizes – from SMEs to large organizations – and in all cases the objective is the same: to achieve a concrete improvement in performance, strengthen links, identify areas of development and increase competitiveness.
More than providing solutions, I accompany people and teams discovering their own resources, gain clarity and encourage conversations that transform.

Thinking about the near future, how do you project as a professional?

I visualize myself touring America sharing my experience with future coaches and leaders. My intention is to inspire them to look from new perspectives, to trust that we can transform and improve.
I think leading is not to convince, but to accompany from the example. I want to convey that always, even in difficult times, there is a way of advancing. And if my story can be a guide or impulse for someone else, then there is the meaning.

What differentiates you as coach?
I think what differentiates me as coach is the way I connect with people. I get genuinely involved with their concerns, concerns … and above all, with their aspirations.
I am a passionate person for what I do. I accompany with respect and also firmly when it comes to challenging those judgments that make us believe that something is not possible. I work from authenticity, and I like to add humor, because I think you can grow with lightness, without losing depth.

If you started again, would you do something different?
I don’t think anything would change. Every step I took, every decision I made would take it again. Everything I lived – the efforts, the stumbling blocks, the joys – brought me here, formed me and made me who I am today.
Of course I recognize that I have spaces for improvement, like everyone else, but I hug them, I learn from them and keep going. I feel proud of the journey I did … and also how I continue to travel every day.
Because I think it is not about getting perfectly anywhere, but about walking with conscience, with self -love and with the certainty that we can always build a better version of ourselves.
