OFC will no longer play in the second division from next season. The gap with competitor IJsselmeervogels (eleven points) with three games to go is too big to avert relegation. OFC returns to the third division after one year, while Jong Volendam has not yet been officially relegated. Their game was abandoned in stoppage time.
Jong Volendam fought for what it was worth against competitor IJsselmeervogels. In injury time, Diego Gustavo missed another penalty at a 3-3 score. A lot of commotion followed and the referee decided to stop the game for the second time after objects were thrown on the field.
It is still uncertain when and if the remaining injury time will be played. If it ends 3-3, the difference with place 16 is eleven points and Volendam cannot maintain itself mathematically. If Volendam wins, the difference is eight points and it still has a small lifeline.
The fate of OFC and Jong Volendam had been hanging by a thread for several weeks. The Oostzaners had a long view of a point against high flyer Quick Boys today. It became 2-0 in injury time by goals from Sem van Duijn and Ravelino Junte. To make matters worse, Soufiane Reclaoui also received a red card.

AFC and Koninklijke HFC did win their matches today. The Amsterdammers had a lot of trouble with Scheveningen. It was helped by an own goal from goalkeeper Sven van der Maaten (former Telstar) after 62 minutes. Matthijs Jesse decided the game in stoppage time: 2-0. With the victory, AFC takes over the lead from Katwijk, at least temporarily. They are currently playing against Jong Sparta Rotterdam.
HFC defeated Excelsior Maasluis at Spanjaardslaan. After a goal from André Morgan, who goes to IJsselmeervogels, Baset Moshtaq immediately scored the equalizer: 1-1. Sietse Brandsma eventually gave the team from Haarlem the victory. HFC is firmly in seventh place in the middle bracket.
