Civil Guard and Local Police of Torrevieja, with the support of the Torrevieja firefighters they have rescued a woman in her 60s and reduced mobility who had taken refuge on the balcony after a fire broke out in his home, on the first floor. The agents have climbed onto the balcony to help the woman and rescue her. Neither the neighbor could leave through the door of her house nor could the security forces access because the fire prevented it.

The rescued has been transferred to University Hospital of Torrevieja to receive assistance for intoxication derived from the inhalation of smoke from the fire. It has also been treated for smoke inhalation to a young couple with a 7-year-old son who lived on the upper floors.

The notice has been received by the park firefighters from Torrevieja-Vega Baja Sur around 10.30 this Thursday. The loss, which could have been caused by a failure in the electrical installation, has occurred on the first floor of the Panorama building, of seven heights, located at the confluence of Babor Street, very close to Alfred Nobel Avenue, on the north coast of the municipality of Torrevieja.

Firefighters have evicted the rest of the building, which was almost empty of residents. Too have carried out the smoke extraction work made difficult because the owners have covered the air outlets in common areas with cabinets and other belongings.
