Christine Taubira was labeled “very good”. This was followed by ecologist Yannick Jadot, the extreme leftist Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Member of the European Parliament Pierre Larrouturou and the socialist Anne Hidalgo, in declining appreciation.
The winner called on the other left-wing candidates for “unity” and “cooperation” on Sunday evening. “I know their reticence, but I also know their intelligence and their sense of the common good. We build that unity together,” Taubira said after the result of this citizens’ initiative was known.
