China constant presence near Japanese islands and Taiwan

The Chinese navy has established a constant presence in the western Pacific Ocean, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. For about six months, China had been conducting naval exercises around the Ryukyu Islands, but now at least one Chinese naval vessel is present at any given time, sometimes accompanied by a second. The Ryukyu Islands are located between the Japanese main island and Taiwan and its Japanese territory.
