The Christmas holidays are over, but children from special education often spend hours on the bus to and from school. However, many parents thought that this misery would finally end: Minister of Mobility Lydia Peeters (Open Vld) promised the week before the Christmas holidays that after the Christmas holidays there would be more buses, and otherwise taxis and minibuses. After the Christmas holidays is of course a flexible concept: it will now only be in order at the end of January. According to Minister Peeters, it will take a little longer before the promised buses can be deployed. “It depends on three factors and that takes a little more time.”
