Chelsea, one of the English Premier League teams, announced that the contract of Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has been extended for one year.
According to the statement on the club’s website, a new contract valid until the end of the 2022-23 season was signed with the 37-year-old Brazilian national football player, who joined the squad in the summer of 2020.
Thiago Silva, who previously played for Milan and Paris Saint-Germain clubs, won the first UEFA Champions League trophy of his career last season.
