Brussels university acknowledges the existence of clandestine prayer rooms in its buildings: “The phenomenon has increased significantly”

For several years now, there has been a place of prayer on the ULB campus in Brussels, where students – women and men separately – come together to pray every day at prayer time. The place of prayer is clandestine, but is clearly tolerated, as Nadia Geerts (MR) complains in a column in the French magazine Marianne. On Tuesday, the ULB acknowledged the existence of the clandestine prayer room. “The phenomenon has increased sharply since the summer and some members of our university community are concerned.”
